Abstract

The formation of schoolchildren’s moral qualities is among the priority tasks of general education, fixed in the state policy of preserving traditional spiritual and moral values. The military sports game has a recognized educational potential; however, the pedagogical conditions under which this potential is realized in the formation of moral qualities remain insufficiently systematized and not correlated with the structure of moral upbringing or with the ethnocultural specificity of a polyethnic educational space. The aim of the article is to identify and theoretically substantiate a set of pedagogical conditions for the formation of schoolchildren’s moral qualities by means of military sports games. The leading approaches are axiological, activity-based and ethnopedagogical; theoretical analysis, comparison, synthesis and pedagogical modeling were applied. As a result, a set of four pedagogical conditions is substantiated – content-methodological, sociocultural, information-diagnostic and social-pedagogical, each correlated with a leading component of the schoolchild’s moral upbringing. A structural-functional model is constructed in which the military sports game, through the identified conditions, ensures the formation of the cognitive, emotional-value and behavioural components. The set of conditions and the model have not yet been verified experimentally.
