Abstract

We report the first observation of the radiative charm decay $D^0 \to \gamma \omega$ with a significance of $6.0\sigma$. The analysis uses 20.3\,$\rm{fb}^{-1}$ of $e^+e^-$ collision data collected by the BESIII detector at a center-of-mass energy of 3.773\,GeV, and employs a deep learning strategy based on the Particle Transformer architecture. The absolute branching fraction of $\mathcal{B}(D^0\to\gamma\omega)=(2.12\pm 0.40_{\rm stat}\pm 0.25_{\rm syst})\times 10^{-5}$ confirms the dominance of long-distance hadronic dynamics in radiative charm decays and provides a valuable benchmark for testing non-perturbative QCD calculations of $D \to \gamma V$ transitions.

First Observation and Dynamical Study of the $D^+_s\to f_{0}(980) \mu^+\nu_\mu$ Decay

Using 7.33 fb$^{-1}$ of $e^+e^-$ annihilation data recorded with the BESIII detector at center-of-mass energies from 4.128 to 4.226 GeV, we report the first observation and dynamical study of the semileptonic decay $D^+_s\to f_{0}(980) \mu^+\nu_\mu$. The absolute branching fraction of $D^+_s\to f_{0}(980) \mu^+\nu_\mu$...

Radiative Higgs decay to $\psi\left(4230\right)$

We calculate the decay rate for the radiative Higgs decay $H \to \psi(4230) + \gamma$ within and beyond the SM. The vector state $\psi(4230)$ is a candidate exotic tetraquark state and has the quantum numbers $I^G(J^{PC})=0^-(1^{--})$, having a mass $m_{\psi(4230)}=4221.7 \pm 2.5$ MeV and a decay width $\Gamma_{\psi(42...

Radiative decays of the predicted P-wave $D\bar{D}^*$ molecular state: the $0^{-+}$ case

In the present work, we study the radiative decays of the P-wave $D\bar{D}^*$ molecular state $G_0$ with $I^G(J^{PC})=0^+(0^{-+})$ using a phenomenological Lagrangian approach. The molecular coupling is fixed by the compositeness condition with a Gaussian form factor. The partial widths for $G_0\to \gamma\gamma$, $\gam...

Observation of the $T_{c\bar{c}1}(4430)^-$ state in $B^0\to D^{*-}D^0K^+$ decays

A study of resonant structures in $B^0 \to D^{*-}D^0K^+$ decays is presented. The analysis uses proton-proton collision data collected by the LHCb experiment at center-of-mass energies of $\sqrt{s} = 7$, 8, and 13 TeV, corresponding to an integrated luminosity of 9 fb$^{-1}$. The analysis demonstrates that the existing...

Using $e^+ e^-$ collision data collected with the BESIII detector at center-of-mass energies between $4.128$ and $4.226$ GeV, corresponding to an integrated luminosity of $7.33~{\rm fb}^{-1}$, the inclusive branching fractions of the decays $D_s^+ \to \eta X$ and $D_s^+ \to \eta^\prime X$ ($X$ denotes any possible part...

Probing the production mechanisms of virtual photons at RHIC

We report the measurement of direct virtual photon ($\gamma^*_\text{dir} \rightarrow e^+e^-$) in four Au+Au collision energies at $\sqrt{s_\text{NN}}$ = 14.6--54.4 GeV. The $\gamma^*_\text{dir}$ yields scale with charged-particle multiplicity ($(dN_{\mathrm{ch}}/d\eta)^{\alpha}$) as $\alpha=1.43 \pm 0.04 \text{(stat.)}...
