Beobachtung der Giftproduktion in Cyanobakterien mittels Klick-Chemie

Abstract

Harmful cyanobacterial blooms are increasing in frequency globally, yet there is still a lack of understanding regarding the biological roles of such toxins. Chemoselective visualization and quantification of cyanotoxin synthesis via high-resolution microscopy in combination with advanced imaging analysis can track cyanotoxin synthesis in producer cells under experimental conditions. Through immunolabeling indicating cellular organelles new information on molecular interactions can be obtained.
