La estética de la integridad: ingeniería civil para la reparación planetaria
Abstract
This paper proposes a radical shift in construction: moving beyond viewing buildings as mere occupied spaces to understanding them as tools for environmental healing. We present the "Aesthetics of integrity," a model that merges visual design with technical excellence in performance. To achieve this, we employ the "Constructive triple helix," a system that integrates technical logic, environmental ethics, and beauty. Through the use of advanced physics, efficient structural design, and digital technology (BIM 6D protocols), we can track the carbon footprint and mitigate the ecological damage of our cities. We no longer accept the divorce between engineering and design that occurred in the late 20th century. We propose "Evidence-based engineering." In this new paradigm, a building's beauty is not an ornament; it is the visible proof that construction respects the climate and helps repair the nature of our urban environment.
