Pengaruh Pemberian Pupuk Organik Cair Jakaba terhadap Pertumbuhan dan Hasil Tanaman Selada (Lactuca sativa L.)
Abstract
This study aimed to determine the effect of applying Jakaba liquid organic fertilizer (LOF) on the growth and yield of lettuce (Lactuca sativa L.), as well as to identify the optimal dose of Jakaba LOF. The study was conducted in Ombolata Ulu Village, Gunungsitoli District, Gunungsitoli City, North Sumatra, from April to June 2026, using a non-factorial Randomized Group Design (RGD) consisting of four Jakaba LOF dose levels (P0 = control, P1 = 100 mL/L, P2 = 300 mL/L, P3 = 500 mL/L) and four replicates, resulting in 16 experimental units. The observed parameters included plant height, number of leaves, and leaf area at 7, 14, 21, and 28 days after planting (DAP), as well as fresh plant weight at harvest. Data were analyzed using analysis of variance (ANOVA) at the 95% significance level (α = 0.05), followed by Duncan's Multiple Range Test (DMRT) when significant effects were found. Treatment P3 (500 mL/L) consistently produced the highest mean values for all parameters and differed significantly from the other treatments, with the highest fresh weight of 112.66 g, a significant increase compared to the control (P0) at 49.33 g. It is concluded that Jakaba LOF enhances the growth and yield of lettuce, with a dose of 500 mL/L providing the best response among the levels tested, which can be considered an alternative organic fertilization strategy in lettuce cultivation.
