Abstract

In the framework of nonrelativistic quantum chromodynamics, we study the $\mathcal{O}(v^2)$ relativistic corrections to heavy-quarkonium production associated with a photon at future electron-positron colliders operated in the Z-factory mode. S-, P-, and D-wave heavy quarkonia as well as the mixed state $\psi(3770)$ are considered. We comprehensively investigate tree-level $s$-channel processes for all states, together with $t$-channel contributions that apply only to ${}^3L_1$ states. It is found that the relativistic corrections substantially reduce the LO cross sections for charmonium states by roughly $20\%$-$70\%$, while the reduction is milder for bottomonium, at the level of $10\%$-$30\%$. Event yields for all studied channels are calculated, and sizable event yields are expected for $\eta_c$, $J/\psi$, $\psi(2S)$, $\Upsilon$, and $\psi(3770)$, especially at FCC-ee.

Revisiting $B_c^{(*)}$ production in $Z$-boson decays at NLO in QCD

We study $B_c^{(*)}$ production in $Z$-boson decays at next-to-leading order (NLO) in QCD within the color-singlet nonrelativistic QCD framework. The analysis covers both the $1S$ and $2S$ pseudoscalar and vector states, extending the phenomenological study to radially excited $B_c$ mesons. We calculate direct producti...

The inclusive $\bar B \to X_s \gamma$ decay rate with higher precision

We present a new and upgraded analysis of the inclusive weak radiative decay of the $B$ meson in the standard model and beyond. The ${\mathcal O}(\alpha_s)$ perturbative corrections are included in a formally complete manner. At the order $\alpha_s^2$, exact dependence on the charm quark mass is calculated for the domi...

Charmed baryon semileptonic decays in a relativistic three-quark model

We study the spin-$1/2\to1/2$ semileptonic decays of singly charmed baryons ($\Lambda_c^+$, $\Xi_c^{0,+}$, and $\Omega_c^0$) into the light baryon octet within a relativistic three-quark model. The constituent quark masses and spatial wave functions are determined by the baryon mass spectrum. For the physical $\Xi_c$ s...

Amplitude-level NLO predictions for exclusive $J/\psi+\gamma$ production in ultraperipheral collisions

Exclusive $\gamma\gamma\to J/\psi+\gamma$ production is studied in the color-singlet channel at leading order in the heavy-quark velocity. The conventional next-to-leading-order (NLO) result $B+V$, comprising Born production and its interference with the renormalized one-loop amplitude, is compared with $B+V+Q$, where...

Hidden charm pentaquarks and the nature of $P_{c}$ states observed at LHCb

We carry out a unified study of the low-lying $1S$-wave compact states and hadronic molecules composed of hidden charm pentaquarks $qqqc\bar{c}$ ($q=u,d$) within a semirelativistic potential quark model. Apart from the linear confinement and one-gluon exchange potential between quarks and/or antiquarks, one-boson excha...

Probing $\Upsilon({1S})$, $\eta_b$ and $h_b$ resonances in proton-lead collisions at the LHCb

We explore the production of bottomonium states in proton--lead (pPb) collisions at the Large Hadron Collider (LHC) within the frameworks of Non-Relativistic Quantum Chromodynamics (NRQCD) and modified NRQCD (MNRQCD). In this work, we present theoretical predictions for the production cross-section, the nuclear modific...
