Estresse ocupacional, burnout e estratégias de enfrentamento: um estudo com policiais militares do Estado do Pará
Abstract
Occupational stress and Burnout syndrome are relevant issues for the health of military police officers and may have personal and professional repercussions. This study aimed to analyze occupational stress, Burnout syndrome, and coping strategies in the context of the PMPA. A qualitative and descriptive approach was adopted through bibliographic and documentary research, with content analysis of 20 sources published or made available from 2021 to 2026. The results identified operational, organizational, and territorial factors associated with occupational strain, accompanied by physical, psychological, and emotional manifestations. Possible repercussions on quality of life, cognitive functions, and professional practice were identified. Coping strategies included individual practices and institutional initiatives involving psychosocial assistance, specialized care, itinerant actions, and remote modalities. It is concluded that the phenomenon is multifactorial and requires responses combining personal resources, prevention, and institutional care, recognizing that the existence of services does not ensure their use or effectiveness.
