Research on the Humanistic Spirit of the Selected Articles of the Middle School Chinese Historical Records
Abstract
With the implementation of the unified textbooks, the educational value of some chapters from Records of the Grand Historian in middle school Chinese teaching has begun to be recognized. Four typical works were chosen as the objects of study in this paper to explore the hierarchical distribution pattern and the four essential spirits of humanism. Due to the lack of humanistic exploration in the current teaching, some practical ways to solve this problem are put forward in this paper, such as increasing student participation in class. Based on the analysis above, it is proposed that through a detailed study of selected chapters from Records of the Grand Historian and the application of new teaching methods, middle school students can learn historical wisdom, cultivate a sense of family and country, and achieve the basic goal of virtue cultivation in education. Therefore, in the future, in addition to the traditional way of using text, tools from the field of digital humanities will also be applied to create immersive historical experiences. Besides, more research needs to be conducted on interdisciplinary teaching methods that combine history, philosophy to offer students personalised and flexible paths for moral education in the digital age.
