STRUCTURAL-SEMANTIC TYPES OF SIMPLE SENTENCES IN THE UZBEK LANGUAGE

Oct 2026 · Eurasian Journal of Academic Research · 0 citations · 2 references

Abstract

This article analyzes the structural and semantic features of simple sentences in the Uzbek language. It examines two-member and one-member sentences according to their grammatical structure, as well as extended and unextended, complete and incomplete sentences according to their composition. Particular attention is given to predicativity, valency, semantic roles, modality, and communicative function. The relationship between sentence structure and semantic organization is analyzed through linguistic examples. The study demonstrates that structural simplicity does not always correspond to semantic simplicity in Uzbek. The role of semantic components such as subject, object, addressee, place, time, cause, and purpose in constructing sentence meaning is also examined. The communicative and contextual characteristics of simple sentences are considered, allowing their role within the syntactic system of the Uzbek language to be more clearly defined.
