O‘ZBEK PAREMIYALARIDAGI ETNOGRAFIZMLARNING LISONIY XUSUSIYATLARI
Abstract
The article analyses ethnographisms in Uzbek proverbs and phraseological units from an ethnolinguistic perspective. The relationship between the notion of ethnographism and the notions of national realia and non-equivalent vocabulary is clarified. On the basis of paremiological material, thematic groups of ethnographisms are identified, and their cumulative, standard-setting, evaluative, symbolic and normative-educational functions are described. The findings show that an ethnographism within a proverb serves as a core unit that transmits cultural information across generations.
