A series of four phenothiazine‐based D–A′–π–A organic photosensitizers was designed for photocatalytic hydrogen evolution in conjunction with Pt/TiO

Among photoremovable protecting groups (PPGs), the 7‐hydroxyquinoline‐2‐ylmethyl‐based cage stands out for versatility, potential biological applications, and tunability of photophysical properties through modification of the substitution pattern at the quinoline nucleus. The introduction of electron‐withdrawing atom...

Type II‐dominant photosensitizers often suffer from reduced photodynamic efficacy under tumor hypoxia. We report a biotin‐modified phenothiazine photosensitizer termed DHU‐Blue‐7, which converts type II methylene blue (MB)‐like photosensitization into a type I pathway via regulating excited‐state characteristics, w...

A series of intensely blue‐emissive ortho‐linked donor–acceptor conjugates comprising triarylamine donors and cyanopyridine or benzonitrile acceptors was readily synthesized via the bromine–lithium exchange–borylation–Suzuki (BLEBS) sequence in moderate to good yields. The modular synthetic approach enables systematic...
