Қарақалпақ тіліндегі awız компонентті соматикалық фразеологизмдердің семантикалық көрінісі

Abstract

The article examines the semantic features of somatic phraseological units containing the component awız in the Karakalpak language. Particular attention is paid to their linguistic usage, figurative meaning, expressiveness, and semantic structure. Phraseological units with the component awız in Karakalpak are compared with corresponding units in the Kazakh and Uzbek languages, which makes it possible to identify their common Turkic features as well as their national and semantic distinctions. The contextual meanings of phraseological units found in literary works are also analysed. The study shows that phraseological units containing the component awız are actively used to express speech activity, unity and agreement, experience, joy, care, and various human actions and states. The analysis also reveals such semantic phenomena as polysemy, synonymy, antonymy, and variation in the phraseological systems of Turkic languages.
