Abstract

The Szegö projection for the topological boundary of the Hartogs triangle is bounded on Lp\documentclass[12pt]{minimal} \usepackage{amsmath} \usepackage{wasysym} \usepackage{amsfonts} \usepackage{amssymb} \usepackage{amsbsy} \usepackage{mathrsfs} \usepackage{upgreek} \setlength{\oddsidemargin}{-69pt} \begin{document}$$L^p$$\end{document} for a finite interval of p that is different than the one already known for the Bergman projection. Both operators satisfy a weak-type estimate at the upper endpoint of Lp\documentclass[12pt]{minimal} \usepackage{amsmath} \usepackage{wasysym} \usepackage{amsfonts} \usepackage{amssymb} \usepackage{amsbsy} \usepackage{mathrsfs} \usepackage{upgreek} \setlength{\oddsidemargin}{-69pt} \begin{document}$$L^p$$\end{document} boundedness but not at the lower endpoint. The Szegö kernel is written in closed form, which (in contrast to the Bergman kernel) contains log terms.
