Abstract

This research aims to analyze the dialectics of qiraat in Islamic Religious Education by tracing the history of the development of qiraat, the standardization process of the Ottoman Mushaf, and the diversity of Al-Qur'an readings. This research uses a literature study method with a qualitative-descriptive approach. Research data was obtained from the Al-Qur'an, hadith, ulumul Qur'an books, books on the science of qiraat, academic books, journal articles, results of previous research, as well as official documents relating to the rasm and pentashihan mushaf. Data analysis was carried out through the stages of collection, reduction, categorization, interpretation, comparison and synthesis of various relevant sources. The research results show that qiraat is an important part of Al-Qur'an scholarship related to oral transmission, sanad, Arabic language rules, and Ottoman language. The diversity of qiraat has been known since the time of Rasulullah SAW and has a reliable basis for narration. Meanwhile, the standardization of the Ottoman Mushaf was carried out to maintain the unity of the community and establish a standard for the writing of the Qur'an, not to eliminate all authentic qiraat. The relationship between qiraat and the Ottoman Mushaf demonstrates the dialectic between the diversity of readings and the need for a unified written text. In the context of Islamic Religious Education, the integration of qiraat knowledge can strengthen Qur'anic literacy, foster tolerance, enhance critical thinking skills, and instill the value of moderation in responding to differences in Qur'anic readings. Therefore, qiraat knowledge needs to be introduced gradually and proportionally in Islamic Religious Education (PAI) learning.
