The Concept of Heritage Media
Abstract
Heritage for future generations, particularly in light of ongoing developments in media technology. This research examines concepts related to heritage media and the impact of different forms of media on the development of this concept. It also addresses the roles of technology, globalisation, and the evolution of media in promoting and strengthening the concept of heritage media. The research presents the research methodology, research problem, and research objectives in order to establish an appropriate theoretical framework and define the key concepts associated with the study. It also seeks to explore further opportunities for utilising technology to preserve both tangible and intangible heritage. Nevertheless, methods for safeguarding intangible cultural heritage have not yet reached a fully mature stage. This paper therefore aims to propose practical solutions that can encourage participation and provide the necessary support for producing heritage-related media content, thereby helping to connect future generations with their cultural heritage.
