INCLUSÃO LABORAL DE PESSOAS COM AUTISMO EM MATO GROSSO DO SUL
Abstract
This study analyzes the inclusion of people with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) in the labor market in Mato Grosso do Sul, highlighting the need for public policies adapted to the different levels of support required across the spectrum. The central problem lies in the homogeneous application of initiatives, which overlooks individual specificities and compromises effective inclusion. The study is justified by the relevance of promoting equity, dignity, and social emancipation through work. Using a qualitative approach, a literature review and an analysis of public information obtained from institutional websites were conducted. The results indicate advances, such as the State Registry for People with ASD, but also reveal gaps in generic policies and the lack of structured databases, limiting the monitoring of actions. It is concluded that inclusion requires equitable public policies, continuous support, and integration among health, education, and employability, ensuring retention and development in the labor market.
