Pemberdayaan Ekonomi Syariah Perempuan Kepala Keluarga Melalui PAR: Penguatan UMKM dan Fasilitasi Sertifikasi Halal di Banjarmasin Barat
Abstract
This community engagement program aimed to strengthen the economic capacity of women-headed households through Islamic economic literacy, micro-enterprise strengthening, and facilitation toward halal certification using a Participatory Action Research (PAR) approach. The program was implemented in West Banjarmasin through collaboration between the Office of Religious Affairs and the Islamic Economic Law Study Program. Evaluation used 34 Google Form responses covering business profiles, ten Islamic economics knowledge items, eight Likert-scale statements, and reflective questions. Descriptive and thematic analyses were applied. The mean knowledge score was 90.29/100, with 32 respondents (94.12%) scoring at least 80. Twenty-one respondents (61.76%) already operated a business, including 12 food and beverage enterprises prioritized for initial halal-certification facilitation. The overall perceived capacity and program-benefit score reached 4.54/5; 97.06% reported being able to keep simple financial records and 94.12% reported separating business and household funds. Participant reflections identified capital and digital marketing as the dominant constraints. The findings informed follow-up model consisting of needs identification, literacy, training, enterprise mentoring, monitoring, PAR reflection, and a halal-facilitation pathway. Because the available dataset is not a paired pre-test–post-test dataset and contains no administrative evidence of halal applications or issued certificates, the article limits its claims to evaluative outcomes, MSME mapping, and readiness for continued halal facilitation.
