IMPLEMENTASI PENDEKATAN HUMANISTIK GURU PAI DALAM MEMBINA MORALITAS PESERTA DIDIK GEN Z DI MA DARUL MA'ARIF PRINGAPUS
Abstract
This study aims to describe and analyze the implementation of a humanistic approach by Islamic Religious Education (PAI) teachers in fostering the morality of Generation Z students at MA Darul Ma'arif Pringapus. Generation Z students, who grow up surrounded by digital technology, tend to be individualistic, easily bored with conventional methods, and vulnerable to negative influence from social media, so a persuasive, dialogical, and empathetic teaching approach is needed rather than an authoritarian one. This research uses a qualitative descriptive method with a case study design. Data collection was conducted using passive participatory observation, in-depth interviews with PAI teachers and students, and documentation study, then analyzed using the Miles and Huberman interactive model and validated through source and technique triangulation. The results show that PAI teachers at MA Darul Ma'arif Pringapus implement the humanistic approach through dialogical communication, exemplary behavior (uswah hasanah), empathetic listening, positive reinforcement, and involving students in classroom decision making. This approach increases students' openness, self-awareness, and internalization of moral values such as honesty, discipline, tolerance, and respect for others, although it still faces challenges such as limited teaching time and the strong influence of the digital environment outside school.
