Abstract

The genus Tanycarpa Foerster (Hymenoptera: Braconidae: Alysiinae) is a small but widely distributed group of endoparasitoid wasps associated with cyclorrhaphous Diptera. However, its diversity in China remains poorly documented. In this study, we describe three new species of Tanycarpa from China and report one newly recorded species, T. volch Belokobylskij, and four previously known species for the country. An updated identification key to the Palaearctic species is provided.
