Numerical Modeling of Dynamic Load of Airbus A380‑800 on Apron Pavement and Justification of Dynamic Coefficient

Abstract

Objective: to substantiate the dynamicity coefficient for the design of tunnels under the apron, taking into account the deformations of the coating plates from the penetration and impact of the Airbus A380-800. Methods: a flat two-mass dynamic model of the “wheel — coating plate — ground base” system has been developed. The equations of motion are derived in Lagrange variables, reduced to Cauchy form, and integrated by the Runge Kutta method of the 4th order in increments of 0.0005 s. Results: the dependence of the peak coefficient of dynamism on the height of the bump and speed is obtained. It was found that taking into account the actual effective mass of the plate (6200 kg instead of 1000 kg) reduces peaks by 15-20%, and the multi-wheeled chassis additionally smooths out impulses. Practical significance: for Pulkovo Airport, the standard is conservative when limiting the taxiing speed of the A380 800 to 10 km/h and maintaining evenness not lower than class B. It is recommended for special combinations of loads to take. The obtained regression models can be used for refined calculations of the coverage resource.
