Abstract
Long-context interaction and persistent memory allow LLM assistants to develop history-grounded understandings of users. When users change direction, however, an understanding built through earlier exchanges may conflict with their current instruction. We introduce relational schema lock-in to describe cases in which an assistant grants that accumulated understanding authority to override the current instruction without user authorization for the intervention. Study 1 documents reports of AI assistants using prior interactions to question or alter requested actions. Study 2 reproduces the pattern across controlled histories and six models: models retained history-grounded positions but differed in whether and how those positions shaped task execution. In Study 3 with 360 participants, artifact substitution preserved task completion while reducing faithful enactment: 75.0% sent the AI's suspension letter, including 11 participants who reported cancellation as their final stated intent. Overt resistance reduced task completion while leaving sent artifacts faithful.
This publication proposes a definition and a classification of agile software development approaches and analyses ten software development methods that can be characterized as being "agile" against the defined criterion.

The study shows that agile practices improve both informal and formal communication, but indicates that, in larger development situations involving multiple external stakeholders, a mismatch of adequate communication mechanisms can sometimes even hinder the communication.

The results indicate that software engineering work practices are chosen opportunistically, adapted and configured to provide value under the constrains imposed by the startup context.

The perception of the impact of agile methods is predominantly positive, and several challenge areas were discovered, but based on this study, agile methods are here to stay.

AI agents can generate code at a scale that’s hard for humans to review line-by-line. PDD Kit helps ensure the code is doing what the developer intended by creating formal specifications and testing against them. It converts developer intent into a Verus specification, proves AI-generated code meets it for every input, and uses tests where proofs aren't practical. Developers review intent, not every line.
