Abstract
Presentation by Avoin on the Open Farm Map Database, delivered on 25 May 2026 to the joint Finnish steering group of four ICT-AGRI-FOOD projects: HOLOSEU, DIGI-GROW, INSPIRE and CAgriLab. The presentation introduces a PostGIS-based database that combines administrative and field boundaries, crop information, soil maps, land-use data, weather and climate information, and ecological zones. It explains how this shared data infrastructure supports HOLOSEU and DIGI-GROW and includes a demonstration of a visual Farm Map prototype. The database was available for testing at the time of the presentation. Within DIGI-GROW, the database supports digital tools for combining agriculture and solar-energy production to improve land use, resource efficiency and farm profitability. The meeting brought together steering-group expertise from Finland’s Ministry of Agriculture and Forestry, ProAgria, the Baltic Sea Action Group and the University of Helsinki, alongside project teams from Avoin, the Natural Resources Institute Finland (Luke) and Häme University of Applied Sciences (HAMK).

The study shows that agile practices improve both informal and formal communication, but indicates that, in larger development situations involving multiple external stakeholders, a mismatch of adequate communication mechanisms can sometimes even hinder the communication.

It is proved that any global minimizer of the trajectory balance objective can define a policy that samples exactly from the target distribution, and empirically demonstrate the benefits of the trajectories balance objective for GFlowNet convergence, diversity of generated samples, and robustness to long action sequenc...
