The Role of Human Capital Analytics in Enhancing Human Resource Decision-Making Effectiveness
Abstract
Human capital analytics has emerged as a strategic approach for improving the quality of human resource (HR) decision-making in increasingly data-driven organizations. This study aims to examine the role of human capital analytics in enhancing HR decision-making effectiveness. Using a library research method, data were collected from peer-reviewed journal articles, academic books, and relevant scholarly publications, then analyzed through content analysis and thematic synthesis. The findings indicate that human capital analytics supports evidence-based decisions in recruitment, performance management, talent development, and employee retention by transforming workforce data into actionable insights. It also improves accuracy, objectivity, and strategic alignment between HR practices and organizational goals. However, its effectiveness depends on data quality, analytical competence, technological infrastructure, and managerial support. This study concludes that human capital analytics is a critical enabler of effective HR decision-making, and it recommends that organizations invest in analytical capabilities and data governance to maximize its benefits.
