Abstract
Politically biased AI can shift users' opinions, yet it remains unclear whether model disclaimers protect against such persuasion. We report a preregistered experiment (N=1,586) examining how disclaimer design and user characteristics shape susceptibility to politically biased AI. We varied whether disclaimers identified political bias versus potential inaccuracies and whether they included an explanation. Participants completed two decision-making tasks with an LLM biased against their political views, with outcomes assessed immediately and one week later. Disclaimers identifying political bias and including an explanation reduced persuasion, but effects varied across contexts and did not persist. Individual differences were more consistent predictors: Republicans were more persuaded and reported higher trust than Democrats across tasks. Similarly, participants who used AI more frequently were also more persuaded, whereas those with greater self-reported AI knowledge were less persuaded. These findings suggest that generic disclaimers are not enough: effective safeguards must account for user heterogeneity and context.
This publication proposes a definition and a classification of agile software development approaches and analyses ten software development methods that can be characterized as being "agile" against the defined criterion.

The study shows that agile practices improve both informal and formal communication, but indicates that, in larger development situations involving multiple external stakeholders, a mismatch of adequate communication mechanisms can sometimes even hinder the communication.

The results indicate that software engineering work practices are chosen opportunistically, adapted and configured to provide value under the constrains imposed by the startup context.

The perception of the impact of agile methods is predominantly positive, and several challenge areas were discovered, but based on this study, agile methods are here to stay.

AI agents can generate code at a scale that’s hard for humans to review line-by-line. PDD Kit helps ensure the code is doing what the developer intended by creating formal specifications and testing against them. It converts developer intent into a Verus specification, proves AI-generated code meets it for every input, and uses tests where proofs aren't practical. Developers review intent, not every line.
