Effect of Logistics Management on Customer Satisfaction of Nigeria Bottling Company Products in Anambra State
Abstract
The study investigates the effect of logistics management on customer satisfaction of Nigeria Bottling Company products in Anambra State. Specifically, the study seeks to determine the effect of transportation management, inventory management information flow management on customer satisfaction of Nigeria Bottling Company products in Anambra State. Relevant literature was review and the study was anchored on theory of supply chain management. This study adopted survey research design. The population of study is made up of three hundred and eighty-six (386) logistic firms in Anambra State. Due to the manageable size of the population, the entire population was use as the sample size for the study. Therefore, sample size is three hundred and eighty-six (386) logistic firms in Anambra State. The researcher makes use of primary and secondary data. Questionnaire was used as the instrument of data collection. The researcher made use face and content validity in this research work. The study employ Cronbach Alpha to verify the internal consistency. Simple percentage was use in answer the research questions while multiple regression analysis in testing research hypotheses at 0.5 level of significant. From the analysis it was discover that transportation management has a significant effect on customer satisfaction; inventory management has a significant influence on consumer's customer satisfaction and information flow management has a significant effect on customer satisfaction of Nigeria Bottling Company products in Anambra State. The study concluded that logistics management had a significant positive effect on customer satisfaction of Nigeria Bottling Company products in Anambra State. The study recommended that logistics managers should try as much as possible to maximize space and enhance on time delivery to avoid delay to the distribution of products in order to meet customers demand through proper means of transportation. Inventory management should be enhanced as it will help to improve productivity within the organization. It is expedient for the managers of firms to maintain integrated Information systems with key partners in the logistics and ensure that information flows between inventory, purchasing, marketing, and distribution divisions are emphasized to facilitate operational efficiency and achieve a competitive edge in the market.
