Innovative methodologies to enhance english language learning in educational contemporary environments

Abstract

This study aims to compare innovative methodologies used to enhance English language learning in contemporary educational environments. The research followed a qualitative approach with a non-experimental and descriptive design. The population and sample were selected based on convenience and relevance to the purpose of the study. As a data collection instrument, a documentary analysis matrix was used to organize and analyze the information obtained from the selected studies. The results show that flipped classroom and gamification are the most frequently mentioned methodologies due to the positive impact they have on active student learning. However, all the methodologies analyzed in this study demonstrate benefits for language learning, particularly in terms of motivation and participation. In relation to linguistic skills, hybrid learning shows particularly positive outcomes according to the analyzed documents. Finally, the findings suggest that innovative methodologies enhance important aspects of the language learning process. These methodologies can also be integrated with each other and combined with traditional teaching methods to support the development of English skills and language acquisition.
