La referencia en Frege: una crítica dialéctica

Abstract

This paper discusses Gottlob Frege’s theory of reference (Bedeutung) and meaning (Sinn) from the perspective of Hegelian dialectics, which we characterize as both a materialist and idealist perspective, and Lacanian psychoanalysis. This discussion attempts to show how Frege not only says more than he thinks he says when he speaks of reference and meaning (a fact that, as we know, happens to any speaker), but also, when the moment comes, says things that are opposite (in every theory there is unconscious thought). Thus, the notions of reference and meaning formulated by Frege contain an "enunciative surplus" that allows us to see in which aspects the theoretical edifice constructed by the German logician shows its flaws and, at the same time, and for this reason, its power to think about the relationship between language and reality.
