Merleau-Ponty. L'espressione primordiale fra campo e stile
Abstract
The following essay does not claim to identify a specific problem within the theory of the philosopher Maurice Merleau-Ponty and outline a solution, as is customary for a scholarly text. Rather, in it, we will try to highlight considerations regarding language – with particular reference to The prose of the word – that accompany the reflections of the French thinker. Specifically, we will describe language not as a system of signs intended for statement-making, but as a primitive device of expression, which also includes painting: the indirect language.
