Nilai Filantropi Islam dalam Naskah Lontar Manusia Jati (Sebuah Tinjauan Filologi)
Abstract
This study employs a philological approach to identify Islamic philanthropic values within the Manusia Jati (palm-leaf) manuscript. The research data consists of linguistic units reflecting these Islamic philanthropic values. The primary source is the Manusia Jati manuscript, which was transliterated and translated into Indonesian by the West Nusa Tenggara Provincial Museum team in 2005. Data collection was conducted using reading and note-taking techniques. The researcher utilized triangulation—combining various theories and sources—to ensure the reliability of the data. The data analysis process involved stages of identification, classification, interpretation, and conclusion drawing. The findings reveal that the Manusia Jati manuscript contains Islamic philanthropic values, specifically: justice (maintaining balance within the universe); responsibility (the courage to bear risks and uphold commitment); care (empathy toward the universe); and sustainability (prioritizing the continuity of the environment and society).
