STRATEGIC MANAGEMENT OF US INNOVATION SYSTEMS IN THE CONTEXT OF GLOBAL MODELS OF INNOVATION MANAGEMENT

Abstract

This article presents a comparative analysis of strategic management of innovation systems in the United States within the context of global innovation management models. The methodological framework of the study is based on the classification approach to innovation system management models proposed by O. Likhota, which includes criteria such as the level of government intervention, institutional structure, R&D funding mechanisms, the role of public-private partnerships, and the effectiveness of intellectual property protection. The study employs a systemic-comparative approach to analyze strategic management models in the United States, the European Union, China, and Israel. The results of the study show that the effectiveness of national innovation systems is largely determined by the quality of strategic management and the ability to balance government regulation with market mechanisms. The findings contribute to the theoretical development of innovation management and can be applied in the formulation of national innovation policy.
