Corporate Sustainability in Practice: Insights from Albanian Large Companies
Abstract
The recent global economic, environmental, and social challenges have transformed the traditional business model, widening the main goal of profit maximization with long-term environmental, social, and governance goals. Companies can no longer afford to ignore sustainability. Engaging in sustainable practices has become essential for companies that want to stay competitive and make a positive impact. This paper takes a closer look at how large companies in Albania are putting sustainability into practice. It explores how environmental, social, and economic concerns are being integrated into daily operations and decision-making. Using insights from a structured questionnaire, the study highlights current efforts, reveals common challenges, and reflects on how these practices shape the way companies operate. The findings aim to support the broader transition toward a more responsible and forward-thinking private sector.
