A new classification model called Feature-based Reservoir of Dynamic Subspaces (FeRDS) is proposed, which delivers superior prediction performance across various datasets and latency levels while maintaining low memory consumption and processing time.
Abstract
Data streams present significant challenges to predictive modelling, most notably due to their inherent non-stationarity. This means that their underlying distribution may change over time, a phenomenon known as concept drift. Concept drift represents a major hurdle for classification models, as they require recent labelled instances to adapt to the new concept effectively. While existing literature addresses concept drift, the vast majority assumes that true labels are available immediately after inference (the null latency scenario). However, in many real-world applications, this assumption is overly optimistic. For instance, when predicting tomorrow’s weather, the true label is only available after an unavoidable delay. This scenario is known as intermediate verification latency. In such environments, delayed labels make it difficult to detect drift in a timely manner, potentially degrading model performance. To address these challenges, we propose a new classification model called Feature-based Reservoir of Dynamic Subspaces (FeRDS). Our experimental results demonstrate that FeRDS delivers superior prediction performance across various datasets and latency levels while maintaining low memory consumption and processing time.
Results demonstrate that STRAP delivers both high predictive accuracy and ultra-low-latency responsiveness in highly dynamic, high-concurrency streaming environments, exhibiting strong practical deployability for latency-sensitive real-time forecasting scenarios such as smart grid anomaly detection, financial risk cont...

DecoVAE is proposed, a lightweight interpretable trend-seasonal VAE framework that explicitly decomposes time series into trend and seasonal components by applying domain-specific inductive biases.
The MLIDSC introduces an automated labeling mechanism that eliminates the need for prior parameter assumptions and uses a novel weighted scheme that combines the imbalance ratio and the importance of individual instances at a given time, ensuring a focus on critical data points.

Early Classification of Time Series (ECTS) requires making accurate decisions as early as possible in inherently online and evolving environments. Yet, most existing methods assume stationarity and rely on separable designs, where classification and triggering are optimized independently, an assumption that fundamental...

Real-world time series forecasting systems operate under non-stationary data streams, where forecasting performance may degrade over time. Although retraining can recover the performance, it incurs non-trivial computational and operational costs. Under limited deployment resources, the key challenge is therefore not on...
