Abstract
We introduce OvisOCR2, a 0.8B document parsing model. OvisOCR2 is designed as an end-to-end parser: given a document page image, it generates a Markdown representation in natural reading order, covering text, formulas, tables, and visual regions. We build a data engine that combines filtered real-document annotations with synthetic pages whose rendered images and Markdown targets are derived from the same HTML source. The training recipe includes supervised fine-tuning, reinforcement learning on a 4B branch with a multi-component reward design, on-policy distillation into the 0.8B model, and model fusion. On OmniDocBench v1.6, OvisOCR2 achieves a state-of-the-art overall score of 96.58, placing an end-to-end model at the top of this leaderboard previously dominated by pipeline methods and highlighting the potential of end-to-end document parsing. On PureDocBench, OvisOCR2 also achieves the highest Avg3 score of 75.06. Beyond these two public benchmarks, we evaluate OvisOCR2 on an in-house benchmark designed to cover a broader set of long-tail and challenging scenarios. OvisOCR2 obtains the best overall performance among the compared methods, providing further evidence of its generalization and robustness. OvisOCR2 is available at https://huggingface.co/ATH-MaaS/OvisOCR2.
Control studies on model depth, learning-rate magnitude and scheduling, the interaction between learning-rate decay and data quality, and the effect of including instruction data during pre-training are reported, and an unexplained surge in benchmark performance midway through the constant-learning-rate phase is documented.

Financial document parsing requires accuracy, structural consistency, and verifiability that current benchmarks often fail to reflect. We present FinixDoc, an end-to-end agentic parsing system for real-world financial documents, with FinixDoc-VL, a 4B-scale vision-language model built on Qwen3-VL-4B, as its core parser. To characterize the gap between benchmark and deployment performance, we introduce a Document Parsing Capability Matrix organized along two practical axes: visual quality and document scale. Guided by this matrix, FinixDoc-VL is trained with a domain-adapted recipe combining homoglyph-aware contrastive learning and multi-stage reinforcement learning with composite domain-specific rewards. To better leverage our accumulated advantage in low-quality financial-document data and support large-scale, high-quality data production, we further build a human-in-the-loop Data Factory pipeline with confidence-aware expert review. For evaluation, we construct FinixDocBench, a financial-domain evaluation suite covering digital-native, camera-captured, ultra-large-page, and internal-workflow scenarios, with a compliance-reviewed subset released alongside this technical report. On its main subsets, FinixDoc-VL achieves the highest overall score (81.43) among evaluated baselines, outperforming the next-best open-source model by 5.13 points, with the largest gains on internal financial workflows (FinixInner: 84.08 vs. 78.73).

Vision language models (VLMs) have achieved strong performance on visual document understanding benchmarks such as DocVQA, ChartQA, and MMLongBench-Doc. However, real-world documents combine multiple factors such as length, layout complexity, modality, and question difficulty, which makes it difficult to attribute model failures to specific causes. We introduce SynthDocBench, a fully synthetic benchmark for long-context visual document understanding that systematically controls factors including document length, layout structure, modality composition, and question type. The benchmark is constructed using a combinatorial design, each factor is varied independently across generated documents, enabling controlled analysis of model behavior. Documents are generated end to end using an LLM pipeline across six layout archetypes, with a 40 percent random override to prevent models from exploiting spurious correlations. Additionally, SynthDocBench spans long-context documents with substantially greater length and structural diversity than existing benchmarks. Evaluating seven frontier VLMs, we uncover three failure modes that existing benchmarks cannot surface: sharp degradation with document length, a systematic positional sensitivity in which the middle third of a document is hardest for five of six models and five of six models show a negative Early-to-Late trend (steepest decline: 8.3 percentage points), and breakdown of chart comprehension in long-document settings. These results suggest that current models may be overfitting to benchmark artifacts rather than achieving robust long-context visual document understanding.

MMLongBench-Doc is a long-document QA benchmark of 1,082 questions over 135 PDFs. Two properties of it push measured scores away from the quantity they are meant to capture: the reference metric compares extracted answers, so 1,358,000 loses to 1358000; and a non-trivial share of ground-truth annotations are wrong, ambiguous, or incomplete --- concentrated, because of how they were found, in exactly the questions capable systems answer correctly. MMLongBench-Doc-V2 corrects 106 annotations, each published with the page and arithmetic that settle it, and replaces the string metric with a pinned LLM judge asked whether a response means the reference. Ten questions whose document ships under the wrong filename are removed rather than counted wrong, along with one duplicated question, leaving 1,071 questions over 134 documents. The most reusable contribution is a decision procedure for when an empty set key may be widened and when widening would destroy a deliberate negative sample; applied to all 208 rows, it widened 14. V2 scores are not comparable with published V1 numbers. The corrected corpus, the per-entry correction record and the evaluation harness are available at https://github.com/VectifyAI/MMLongBench-Doc-V2.
We present Infinity-Parser2, a large multimodal model that couples a controllable data-synthesis pipeline with multi-task reinforcement learning for end-to-end document parsing, addressing the persistent scarcity of faithfully annotated parsing corpora. Our contributions are threefold. First, we build a scalable synthesis engine, pairing a controllable rendering framework with an iterative refinement loop, and use it to construct and open-source Infinity-Doc2-5M: a 5-million-sample bilingual (Chinese/English) corpus spanning diverse document types, annotated with element bounding boxes, canonical content forms (Markdown, HTML, LaTeX, SMILES, structured charts), and full-page reading order. Second, we introduce a verifiable, multi-task reward system that enables Joint Reinforcement Learning across eight co-trained objectives (document parsing, layout analysis, table parsing, math formula parsing, chart parsing, chemical formula parsing, document VQA, and general multimodal understanding), unifying perception, structure, and reasoning in a single optimization signal. Third, we release two variants under a shared architecture: Infinity-Parser2-Flash, optimized for low-latency inference with a 3.68x throughput gain over Infinity-Parser-7B, and Infinity-Parser2-Pro, engineered for precision-critical settings. Infinity-Parser2-Pro reaches state-of-the-art 87.6% on olmOCR-Bench and 74.3% on ParseBench, surpassing DeepSeek-OCR-2, PaddleOCR-VL-1.5, and MinerU2.5, with strong generalization to charts, chemical formulas, and document VQA.
