Abstract

: Guaranteeing the security of sensitive information transmission has developed increasingly crucial due to the growing frequency of breaches and cyberattacks affecting wireless networks. This work on "Next-Gen Wireless Security: Onion Routing Meets Blockchain Technology" investigates the potential for combining Onion Routing with Blockchain technology to enhance wireless transmission security. The onion routing guarantees the security of the communication route while allowing users to remain anonymous. As well, it makes it more challenging for hackers to detect the information's transmission track. Every single transaction is evidently recorded and auditable thanks to Blockchain technology. Delicate data can be transmitted wirelessly in a secure and reliable means by combining Onion routing with Blockchain technology. For big business that depend on the privacy and reliability of their data, this is particularly crucial. Here, we assessed the system's performance in a number of areas, including latency, packet loss, and power consumption. The system's performance quiet has some compromises, despite the major benefits of using Onion and Blockchain technology, such as lowering the risk of different security vulnerabilities, eavesdropping, Man-in-the-Middle attacks, tampering, anonymity, and decentralization. We can consider example, its energy consumption and latency prevent it from supporting real-time applications and settings.
