Abstract
Privacy-Preserving Record Linkage (PPRL) is a crucial task for interlinking different, but overlapping data sources without compromising their privacy. PPRL has evolved from simple hash-based exact matching methods to more sophisticated ones in the last two decades. However, existing open-source PPRL systems have limited utility, as they implement very few methods, typically of their creators, and thus, they do not facilitate users to build and benchmark different end-to-end pipelines. To address this shortcoming, this work introduces privJedAI, a new open-source library for PPRL that implements the Filtering-Verification framework, offering a plethora of state-of-the-art methods per workflow step. privJedAI leverages Python's data ecosystem to allow users to combine state-of-the-art techniques into end-to-end PPRL pipelines in an intuitive way that accommodates researchers and practitioners of any expertise. Special care is also taken to facilitate the benchmarking of the resulting pipelines to assess their trade-off between effectiveness and time efficiency across a series of established or custom datasets. We present the architecture of privJedAI, its unique features and explain how it can be used in practice.
Currently, there are two state-of-the-art, complementary privacy guarantees: contextual integrity (CI) for what may flow, and differential privacy (DP) for what may be inferred. Yet neither maps cleanly onto natural language, leaving existing approaches unable to provide these guarantees for analytics over unstructured...

Static-analysis scanners can identify personal-data types in source code, but they lack mechanisms to connect these findings to standardized privacy vocabularies. PrivDev maps 122 Bearer CLI data types to Data Privacy Vocabulary Personal Data (DPV-PD) categories and links them to potentially relevant GDPR provisions. O...

Current measurements of Web infrastructure largely lack visibility into the commercial entities, or Digital Service Providers (DSPs), that operate individual domains. We present the first large-scale mapping of domains to their corresponding operating companies. Leveraging the imprint (Impressum) mandated by German and...

The augmented multi-party shuffle DP (AMP-SDP) model is proposed, which re-architects the data pipeline with a lightweight, versatile secret-shared intermediary layer that decentralizes trust while minimizing online communication costs and provides structural security hardening against both shuffler compromise and user-sid...

Seeking to unify the evaluation of text-to-text privatization, PrivBench is introduced, a holistic and modular benchmarking platform for researchers and practitioners working on text privatization that evaluates privatization on a series of defined desiderata, which are structured into modules.
