Mitochondria-mediated anticancer effects of two previously characterized COX-2 inhibitors in hepatocellular carcinoma
Both ZMA-M3 and ZMA-M4 significantly reduced the viability of HCC cells and enhanced apoptosis in a dose-dependent manner, while showing minimal cytotoxicity towards normal hepatocytes, indicating the activation of the intrinsic mitochondria-mediated apoptotic pathway.
