Stage-specific EEG spectral signatures of primary insomnia: regional and sex-related differences across NREM and REM sleep.
An interpretable, stage-specific framework for identifying EEG biomarkers of insomnia is established and the value of explainable artificial intelligence in advancing the neurophysiological understanding of sleep disturbance is demonstrated.
