MOP1 affects DNA methylation, nucleosome occupancy, histone modifications and chromatin conformation at the b1 allele involved in paramutation

The results uncover an intricate interplay between active and silent epigenetic features present at the b1 locus in a mop1 background, resulting in elevated expression of B’, concluding that MOP1 is essential to maintain the B’ silent chromatin state.
