Host cell entry and neutralisation sensitivity of H3N2 influenza A virus subclade K

Using pseudovirus particles, it is shown that subclade K-HA drives augmented entry into certain cell lines and displays significant antibody evasion, suggesting that current vaccines may provide considerable protection.

Circulating markers of organ damage associate with COPD in people with HIV: an exploratory proteomic analysis.

These findings provide exploratory evidence for candidate circulating organ damage markers of COPD in PWH and provide a basis for further studies into the mechanisms and immunopathology of this comorbidity, including studies in larger cohorts with HIV-negative comparator groups.

Systemic inflammatory networks in HIV-associated chronic obstructive pulmonary disease.

PLWH with COPD exhibit distinct inflammatory signatures characterized by enhanced tissue damage, immune activation, and dysregulated repair mechanisms, providing insights into HIV-related COPD.

JN.1-adapted vaccination is associated with readjustment of ancestral memory B cells toward neutralization within the JN.1 antigenic space

It is proposed that there is somatic hypermutation of existing B cell clones rather than de novo generation from naive B cells in JN.1-adapted booster vaccines and this finding indicates maturation of pre-existing, class-switched MBC rather than substantial de novo recruitment of naïve B cells.
