Structural mechanism defining product specificity in glycoside hydrolase family 66 cycloisomaltotetraose glucanotransferase
The crystal structures of CI4Tase are determined and the strict size-control mechanism of CI4Tase is elucidated, providing a structural foundation for engineering cycloisomaltooligosaccharide-producing enzymes with optimized transglycosylation efficiency and specificity for industrial applications.
