Epigallocatechin-3-gallate as a hepatoprotective agent against ochratoxin a: modulating ER stress and NF-κB/TNF-α/IL-6 responses

It is demonstrated that OTA-induced hepatotoxicity may be mediated, at least in part, through modulation of ER stress and NF-κB-driven inflammatory cascades, and that EGCG demonstrated dose-dependent protection by attenuating these responses.

Investigating the systemic biological effects of occupational exposure to PAHs from asphalt fumes in road construction workers revealed profound alterations in pteridine metabolism and activation of the kynurenine pathway, using a combined panel of exposure and mechanistic biomarkers.
