This article examines the theoretical and methodological interpretations of the concept, which is one of the central categories of modern anthropocentric linguistics. The study employs a comparative-analytical approach to investigate the origin of the term, its evolution into a linguo-cognitive and linguo-cultural status, and the scientific perspectives of leading linguists. The analysis demonstrates that a concept is not merely a logical notion, but a complex mental-linguistic formation shaped at the intersection of language, cognition, and culture.
