Spillover-Aware Multi-Value Steering for Pluralistic LLM Alignment
This work traces spillover to geometric entanglement of steering directions, captured by their Gram matrix, and derives a zero-cost correction from an activation-norm-penalized objective that decouples each direction's contribution exactly.
