Overexpressing FLP Recombinase Can Cause Synaptic Trafficking Defects in C. elegans

It is reported that high expression of FLPase from multi-copy extrachromosomal arrays can disrupt synaptic protein trafficking in C. elegans and supports growing awareness that tyrosine recombinases can become cytotoxic at high doses.
