A descriptive survey research design was adopted; Data was collected through the distribution of structured questionnaires administered to the respondents selected for the study. The total population for the study was 1671; Taro Yamane was used to get a sample size of 323 respondents from that number. Meanwhile, from the 323 copies of questionnaire distributed, only 320 copies were returned and used for the study. Both descriptive and inferential statistics were adopted to analysis the data collected for the study using SPSS 23 version. The result of the study indicated that Employee involvement (t=2.806, p< 0.05) influence performance of the selected brewing companies significantly. Also, it was found that continuous improvement (t=4.462 p<0.05) had a significant positive effect on performance of the selected respondents in the study area while top management commitment (t=1.401 p>0.05) had no significant positive impact on the performance of the selected brewing companies. Influence of Information Resource Management on Occupational Safety Performance in Petrochemical Industries in Nigeria

This study examined the influence of information resource management on occupational safety performance in petrochemical industries in Nigeria. The study adopted a descriptive survey research design guided by three objectives, three research questions, and one hypothesis. The population comprised 2,450 employees drawn from Indorama Eleme Petrochemicals Limited, Indorama Eleme Fertilizer and Chemicals Limited, and Notore Chemical Industries Plc . Using the Taro Yamane formula, a sample size of 345 respondents was selected through proportionate stratified random sampling, while 332 valid questionnaires were returned and analyzed. Data were collected using a structured questionnaire validated by experts in Library and Information Science and Occupational Health and Safety. The reliability of the instrument yielded a Cronbach's Alpha coefficient of 0.88 . Mean and standard deviation were used to answer the research questions, while simple linear regression was used to test the hypothesis at the 0.05 level of significance. The findings revealed that information resource management practices were effectively implemented in the selected industries. The study also found that effective management of occupational safety information significantly enhanced workers' compliance with safety procedures and improved occupational safety performance. The study concluded that effective information resource management is a strategic determinant of occupational safety performance in petrochemical industries. It recommended strengthening corporate information centres, improving digital safety information systems, and engaging Library and Information Science professionals in the management and dissemination of occupational safety information.

Risk Communication Practices and Employee Performance: A Study of Selected Logistics Firms in Nigeria

This study investigates the relationship between risk communication practices and employee performance in selected logistics firms in Nigeria, focusing specifically on DHL and Red Star Express. A survey research design was employed to collect quantitative data without manipulation of variables. The study population comprised 2,461 employees engaged in operational and riskrelated roles, from which a sample of 344 respondents was determined using Taro Yamane’s formula. Respondents were selected through a simple random sampling technique. Data were collected using a structured questionnaire based on a five-point Likert scale and analyzed using Pearson correlation in SPSS version 26. The findings indicate a strong and positive relationship between risk communication practices and employee performance, with a Pearson correlation coefficient (r) of 0.603 and a p-value of 0.000, significant at the 0.01 level. This result led to the rejection of the null hypothesis, confirming that effective risk communication significantly influences employees’ efficiency, decision-making, and overall productivity within logistics firms. The study concludes that structured communication strategies are critical for enhancing employee performance and organizational effectiveness. Accordingly, it recommends that logistics firms prioritize comprehensive risk communication frameworks, utilize formal communication channels, and actively engage employees in feedback and risk-related decision-making to strengthen operational resilience and performance outcomes

Factors Influencing the Adoption of Environmental Sustainability Practices in Selected Petroleum Industries in Southeastern Nigeria

This study examined the organisational and regulatory factors influencing the adoption of environmental sustainability practices in selected petroleum industries in Southeast Nigeria. The petroleum sector remains economically important, but its operations are associated with environmental concerns that require stronger sustainability responses. A cross-sectional survey research design and quantitative approach were adopted. Primary data were collected through a structured questionnaire administered to employees and management personnel in selected oil and gas companies. A total of 420 questionnaires were distributed, 392 were retrieved, and 384 valid responses were used for analysis, representing a valid completion rate of 91.4%. Data were analysed using descriptive statistics, including frequencies, percentages, mean scores and standard deviation, as well as multiple regression analysis. The findings showed high agreement with organisational factors, regulatory factors and environmental sustainability adoption, with mean scores of 4.23, 4.07 and 3.95, respectively. The regression results indicated that organisational factors had a significant positive effect on environmental sustainability adoption (β = 0.45, t = 9.62, p < 0.05). Regulatory factors also had a significant positive influence on adoption (β = 0.37, t = 7.88, p < 0.05). The model explained 58.0% of the variation in environmental sustainability adoption. The study concludes that internal organisational support and consistent regulatory oversight are important for improving sustainability practices in petroleum firms.

The Impact of Training and Development on the Perceived Organisational Performance of Saudi Tourism Companies

Introduction: This study aimed to examine the predictive relationship between Training and Development (T&D) and Perceived Organisational Performance, while also assessing the moderating role of the Vision 2030 Program in the relationship within the Saudi Arabian tourism sector. Methods: A quantitative cross-sectional study design was followed, using a structured Likert-scale questionnaire for data collection. The study was conducted on employees in the tourism industry in Saudi Arabia which consists of more than one million employees. Participants were recruited using purposive sampling, and 450 employees were sampled for the study. The number of samples in the study was above the lowest sample size determined by G*Power analysis, which is suitable for PLS-SEM analysis. Partial Least Squares Structural Equation Modelling (PLS-SEM) was used to analyse the data. Results: The results indicate that T&D has a statistically significant and positive effect on the perceived organisational performance. The Perceived Vision 2030 Program also showed a significant direct association with organisational performance. Importantly, the moderation analysis revealed that positive perceptions of Vision 2030 strengthened the relationship between T&D and organisational performance, suggesting that institutional alignment enhances the effectiveness of internal HR practices in the healthcare sector. Conclusion: This study contributes theoretically by contextualising Human Capital and Institutional theoretical perspectives to elucidate organisational performance within a national transformative framework. Practically, it provides insights for policymakers and managers to align employee development initiatives with national strategies, enhance workforce capabilities, and strengthen organisational competitiveness.
