TL;DR

It is suggested that CEL alleviates synovial inflammation and joint injury in experimental RA in association with Nrf2/HO-1/GPX4 pathway activation and suppression of TNF-α-stimulated rat FLS activation, supporting further investigation of CEL as a candidate antioxidant-oriented therapeutic agent for RA.

Triptolide Improves Rheumatoid Arthritis by Regulating M1/M2 Balance Through the miR-223/CREBZF Axis.

Rheumatoid arthritis (RA) is a chronic autoimmune disease characterized by persistent inflammation and progressive joint damage. This study investigated the role of microRNA-223 (miR-223) in RA and evaluated the therapeutic effects of triptolide (Tri), a diterpenoid epoxide derived from the traditional Chinese medicina...

Sabinene attenuates inflammation and oxidative stress in CFA-induced arthritis: In vivo and in silico evidence implicating TLR4/NLRP3/NF-κB signaling.

Findings support a prophylactic protective effect of sabinene against CFA-induced arthritis associated with reduced inflammation, improved antioxidant status, and modulation of inflammasome-related gene expression.

Nitazoxanide alleviates collagen-induced arthritis by inhibiting STAT3-dependent Th17 cell differentiation and inflammatory cytokines production

Nitazoxanide (NTZ), an FDA-approved anti-parasitic drug, has shown anti-inflammatory effects in rheumatoid arthritis (RA) fibroblast-like synoviocytes, yet its impact on immune cell function and its potential synergy with methotrexate (MTX) remains unclear. In this study, using a murine collagen-induced arthritis (CI...

Sanguinarine ameliorates rheumatoid arthritis by activating the Hippo-YAP/TAZ pathway to induce apoptosis and suppress inflammation in fibroblast-like synoviocytes

Rheumatoid arthritis (RA) is a chronic autoimmune disease with progressive joint damage, functional disability and systemic comorbidity. Available therapies are not satisfactory, including low rates of remission and about 30% of patients with poor response to first-line treatment. Thus, more effective therapeutic s...

GDF15 ameliorates inflammatory arthritis-associated bone destruction and pain through inhibition of osteoclastogenesis and modulation of osteoclast-derived Netrin-1/CGRP+ nerve remodeling.

Rheumatoid arthritis (RA) is a chronic autoimmune disease characterized by persistent synovial inflammation, progressive bone erosion, and persistent pain, with limited therapeutic options for comprehensive disease control. Growth differentiation factor 15 (GDF15), a stress-responsive cytokine, has been implicated in i...

Folate-modified liposomal celastrol for rheumatoid arthritis: therapeutic efficacy and modulation of ROS/NF-κB/COX-2-related inflammatory signaling

Background Rheumatoid arthritis (RA) is a chronic autoimmune disorder characterized by severe synovial inflammation, joint deformities, and progressive tissue destruction. Celastrol (Cel), a natural triterpenoid with anti-inflammatory and antioxidant activity, is a promising therapeutic candidate for RA; however, its a...
