Abstract
The aim of this study is to identify and analyze the key areas in which artificial intelligence (AI) technologies are revolutionizing English language learning, assess their effectiveness, potential risks, and development prospects. This overall goal is expressed through the following specific research objectives: systematize and classify AI tools for English language learning, evaluate their effectiveness and benefits, identify the challenges and ethical risks associated with AI implementation, predict future trends, and provide recommendations for integrating AI into traditional and digital educational systems. The scientific novelty of this study lies in the identification and description of a new educational paradigm — learning in the flow — implemented by integrating AI assistants into the user's everyday digital environment, blurring the line between learning and real-world communication.
The impact of AI in ELT is explored, its impact on language abilities is considered, and the shifting nature of the teacher's role, its challenges and future possibilities are discussed.
