EFFECT OF BIOLOGICAL PLANT PROTECTION PRODUCTS ON THE PHYTOPATHOGENIC COMPLEX OF SPRING WHEAT SEEDS

2026 · Plant Protection and Quarantine · pp. 30-33 · 0 citations

TL;DR

Bio-Trichoderma demonstrated the highest efficacy, reducing the proportion of infected seeds by 14.5-35 %, and the tested biological products demonstrated high efficacy against phytopathogens, reducing the level of infection in spring wheat seeds and confirming their potential in spring wheat seed protection.

Abstract

The article presents the results of a study evaluating the efficacy of pre-sowing treatment of spring wheat seeds of the cultivar Krasnoyarskaya 12 with biological products (BPs) in 2025-2026. The following products were tested: Bio-Trichoderma at 0.5 g per 100 mL of water, Tsitovit at 0.75 mL per 100 mL of water, and a combined treatment consisting of preliminary seed soaking in a Tsitovit nutrient solution (0.75 mL per 100 mL of water) followed by Bio-Trichoderma (0.5 g per 100 mL of water). Pre-sowing treatment with the biological products increased laboratory seed germination by 15-21 % compared with the untreated control, with Bio-Trichoderma treatment resulting in the highest germination rate of 88.5 %. Across the study years, the proportion of infected seeds in the untreated control averaged 58-72 %. Treatment with Tsitovit reduced the proportion of infected seeds by 9-15 %, whereas the combined treatment reduced infection by 3.5-22 %. Bio-Trichoderma demonstrated the highest efficacy, reducing the proportion of infected seeds by 14.5-35 %. The tested biological products demonstrated high efficacy against phytopathogens, reducing the level of infection in spring wheat seeds and confirming their potential for use in spring wheat seed protection.

Evaluation of Different Pre-Treatments on Seed Germination of Some Cassia Linn. spp.

Seed dormancy limits the uniform propagation of several Cassia species because of the presence of a hard, water-impermeable seed coat. This study evaluated the effects of thirteen pre-sowing treatments on seed germination percentage and mean daily germination (MDG) of Cassia fistula L., Cassia glauca Lam. and Cassia to...
