Abstract

The present study investigates the psychological well-being and mental health of parents and adolescents and their role in adjustment. Psychological well-being and mental health are essential components of an individual's overall functioning and quality of life. Adolescence is a crucial developmental stage characterized by significant physical, emotional, social, and cognitive changes. During this period, adolescents often face challenges in adjusting to family, school, and social environments. Parents play a significant role in shaping the psychological and emotional development of adolescents. Therefore, parental mental health and psychological well-being can directly influence adolescent adjustment. The study adopts a descriptive survey method involving parents and adolescents. The findings suggest a positive relationship between psychological well-being, mental health, and adjustment. Better parental mental health contributes significantly to healthy adolescent adjustment. The study emphasizes the importance of promoting mental health awareness and supportive family environments.
