AI Analytics as Intelligent Management Technology: The Mediating Role of Organizational Agility in Digital Business Performance
Abstract
Artificial intelligence (AI) analytics is increasingly embedded in management technology to support data-driven decision-making and organizational responsiveness. This study examines the relationships among AI Analytics (AIA), Organizational Agility (OA), and Digital Business Performance (DBP), with OA positioned as a mediating mechanism. A quantitative cross-sectional survey was conducted with 278 managers, supervisors, IT professionals, business analysts, and digital-business personnel from Indonesian organizations using AI-enabled analytics. Data were analyzed using partial least squares structural equation modeling (PLS-SEM) with 5,000 bootstrap resamples. The measurement model demonstrated satisfactory reliability and validity, with indicator loadings of 0.801–0.871, composite reliability of 0.915–0.922, AVE of 0.683–0.703, and HTMT values of 0.684–0.758. AIA was positively associated with OA (β = 0.654, t = 13.842, p < 0.001) and DBP (β = 0.286, t = 5.214, p < 0.001), while OA was positively associated with DBP (β = 0.527, t = 9.638, p < 0.001). OA mediated the AIA–DBP relationship (β = 0.345, t = 7.862, p < 0.001, 95% CI [0.263, 0.435]). The model explained 42.8% of the variance in OA and 55.7% in DBP. The findings indicate that organizational agility is an important mechanism through which AI-generated intelligence is associated with digital business outcomes. Because the design is cross-sectional and uses perceptual measures, the results should be interpreted as associations rather than causal effects.
